Fiona Shepperd

Psychologist & Clinical Psychology Registrar

Fiona is a skilled and compassionate psychologist with experience in drug and alcohol, youth, and adult clinical settings. Fiona has facilitated group therapy sessions that focus on parenting skills and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder treatment.

Fiona provides a warm and client-centered approach, taking time to understand how each individual experiences their world and tailoring her interventions accordingly. Fiona provides a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Alongside her clinical work at the clinic, Fiona is progressing through a registrar pathway to become a clinical psychologist. Simultaneously, she is actively engaged at the University of Wollongong, pursuing a doctorate (PhD) in psychology, and contributing to teaching studies in indigenous health.

Fiona enjoys working with diverse clients across the lifespan and has experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns. She works collaboratively with her clients, as well as with other professionals, to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes can be achieved.  

Therapy interventions: Fiona is passionate about using evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).  

Areas of interest: all areas of psychology with a particular interest in indigenous studies.
