The Shellharbour Clinic has newly built purpose designed rooms that have been carefully designed to provide an inviting workplace. Whilst our main area of interest is providing trauma focused interventions we also work with the full spectrum of psychological presentations.

Our clinic is situated in the heart of Shellharbour a short walk to the main shopping centre and a short drive from Wollongong. We have easily accessible all-day parking nearby and should you like to take a brief nature experience throughout the day there are parks and local beaches nearby.

Experienced Psychologist

About You:

  • Registered psychologist and/or area of practice endorsement (clinical or counselling)
  • Eligible for Medicare registration
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychological services to adolescents and/or adults
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Able to function autonomously
  • Good organisation and time management skills

Desirable:

  • Board-approved supervisor registered with AHPRA
  • Experience or interest in the treatment of trauma
  • EMDR trained or eagerness to obtain
  • SIRA approved or eagerness to obtain
Early Career Psychologist

About You:

  • Be passionate, enthusiastic, and confident
  • Demonstrate skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions including cognitive-behavioural therapy
  • Demonstrate experience in providing psychological services to children, adolescents and/or adults
  • Be eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • Be eligible for Medicare registration
  • Have professional indemnity insurance
    Key skills required for this role:
  • Be able to function autonomously
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Willingness to take on challenges and learn new skills.

Desirable:

  • EMDR trained or eagerness to undertake.
  • SIRA approved or willingness to obtain
  • Able to work after-hours or Saturdays
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

About You:

  • Mental health social worker accredited with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Eligible for Medicare registration
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychological services to adolescents and/or adults
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Able to function autonomously
  • Good organisation and time management skills

Desirable

  • Board-approved supervisor registered with AHPRA
  • Experience or interest in the treatment of trauma
  • EMDR trained or eagerness to obtain
  • SIRA approved or eagerness to obtain
Trauma Therapist

About You:

  • Registered psychologist, accredited mental health social worker or full clinical member of the psychotherapy and counselling federation of Australia.
  • Eligible for Medicare registration.
  • Experience in working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
  • Experience in trauma therapies such as EMDR, schema or parts-based therapies such as IFS or structural dissociation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • Great organisation and time management skills.
